Amazon Introduces Q, The AI-Infused Assistant for Businesses

Amazon’s newest offering, an AI-factored assistant named Q, is now available for AWS customers, marking a significant stride in the corporate AI sector. At the re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, Amazon announced its debut.

Starters can acquire Q for a service fee of $20 per user each year. The AI system, which has been trained with Amazon’s 17 years of AWS knowledge, offers the ability to answer complex inquiries related to AWS amenities, such as constructing a web application using AWS. More than a simple respondent, Q offers a buffet of plausible solutions, along with pros and cons for considering each one.

Widened Horizons of Q

Q was revealed by AWS CEO Adam Selipsky at the conference. Along with offering explanations, this AI engine allows its users to generate content and take corresponding actions. These functionalities are guided by a clear understanding of the user’s systems, their stored data, and their operational methodologies.

Tailored to fit the needs of the organization, Q is highly customizable with organization-specific software and applications such as Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk, Gmail, and even Amazon’s S3 storage instances. The AI system indexes all connected content and data, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of the company’s structural, conceptual, and product-related components.

These plans are created using fluent natural language and can then be fine-tuned for implementation.

Reflecting on Q’s assistance with Amazon’s internal upgrade of 1,000 apps, Selipsky reiterated his belief in Q’s transformative capabilities. Simultaneously, he emphasized that the controlling and filtering features for Q’s responses and actions are highly customizable.
